Former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, whom President Bush tapped two weeks ago to head fund-raising efforts, made a joint appearance on the program.

The concert was reminiscent of the telethon that aired less than two weeks after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. That benefit raised nearly $130 million.

Organizers did not immediately say how much "Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope" raised in pledges. (more)
