Google offers index of public domain works

Beginning November 3, 2005 - Google will begin serving up the
entire contents of government documents and books that aren't
currently enmeshed in the battle over copyright laws on how
much content can actually be indexed by scanning to make
available to the public.

The material is available at: http://www.print.google.com
This public domain document and book indexed content is the
first batch released by the Mountain View based search engine
company, Google following it's announcement in late 2004.
