Lemon Law - Vehicle Lemon Law - Wisconsin

Lemon Law

Specifically Wisconsin Lemon Law...

What is it exactly ??

Answer:
If you purchase or lease a vehicle in Wisconsin
and that vehicle turns out to be what is known
in the industry as a "lemon" - the manufacturer
has to replace the vehicle or refund the price
(less a amount deemed reasonable for mileage).

What is a Lemon ??

Answer:
If the vehicle in less than one year old and still
under warranty - and if it has a defect that
prevents it being used for a period of at
least 30 days of usage.
(note - those 30 days do not have to be 30
consecutive days... but 30 days or more of
actual usage days...) = then the vehicle is
considered a LEMON.

- - - also

if the vehicle is less than one year old and still
under warranty - and has a serious defect that
the dealer is unable to fix within four tries = then
the vehicle is considered a LEMON.
